Each Friday between 11am and 1pm we host our Memory Cafe. The Cafe is designed as an enjoyable way to keep mind and body active, and to try to help reduce the risk or delay the onset of Alzheimer's. We do this in 3 ways:
1. Social - interactions with other people. The cafe attracts around 50 people per week from different backgrounds
2. Mental - enjoyable weekly quizzes to exercise the brain
3. Physical - light Tai Chi, which is run by our Tai Chi instructor from Tai Chi Otherists
The Memory Cafe is open to everybody, regardless of background or faith, but please be aware that there is no care element to the Memory Cafe, and so people need to be independent or have a carer with them.
There is no cost to attend the Memory Cafe. Any donations are very much appreciated to enable us to continue running the cafe for the benefit of the community.
