Our theme for  ADVENT is ‘The Journey to Bethlehem’ .

 In these weeks we will explore how the Old Testament moves towards the coming of Christ and how our own journeys lead us to find our place at the manger.

The Advent discussion group will be on Tuesday nights Dec 2^nd, 9^th and 16^th at 8.00 pm in church and on Wednesdays Dec 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th at 11am in church after the 10am weekly Eucharist.

Sunday Dec 7^th  marks a new chapter is some people’s journeys : Baptism and Confirmation Service with Bishop Pete Broadbent at 10am.

The traditional candle-lit  CAROL SERVICE (9 Lessons and Carols) is at 6.30pm on Sun Dec 14^th

Sunday Dec 21st highlights our young people who re-tell the Christmas story in their annual Sunday School play at 10am.

Carol singing continues as we lead a short carol service in the Black Horse pub on the Harrow Road on Wed 17^th Dec at 8.30pm followed by a welcome round of drinks, and

we sing around the streets of the parish on Sunday evening 21^st Dec from 7pm. Please do come and join us even if you think you can’t sing. There are mince pies and mulled wine for all in the vicarage afterwards.

We also lead carol services in residential homes and other community places – please contact us for details.

Sun Dec 21^st Eucharist at 8am and 10am
